My Everyday Life: Week 10 & Week 11

Long time, no see! Just kidding…it’s been about 3 weeks since I blogged last? Week 9 of My Everyday Life was VERY eventful with college and such so I didn’t find any time to blog OR take pictures. (not that you missed me) But I’m back and better than never!! Here’s my past (busy) but not busy 2 weeks! Enjoy!

I got this dress at a vintage store in Fayetteville, AR and its become my favorite (it even has pockets!!)Redbuds blooming at church!Getting that mileage in for my half marathon! We have been icing sugar cookies at my job lately and to celebrate spring and St. Patricks Day these are the ones we chose (aren’t the bunnies adorable?)
Baked some muffins that have been on my baking to-do list!
Recipe by the one and only Sally’s Baking Addiction: Raspberry Chocolate Muffins. Starting a new series at church on Wednesday nights involving this book. I’m super excited to see where it takes me!
When you don’t really want to go on a run after a PACKED day but decide to = this pretty sunset (payoff).
I tried making those banana pancakes you see with the bananas and eggs but they failed miserably (at least they tasted good!)
Countdown to my birthday! Isn’t this card the cutest?
Lady doing who knows what…probably creating a smelly smell if you know what I mean…
We shopping with my madre for prom and other things and stopped at Whole Foods. I’m like a kid in a candy shop when I go there…I could spend hours looking at all the different foods they have to offer.
Tried a tea/coffee/sushi place and got the White Chocolate Green Tea Latte. It was to die for!

Please excuse my sunburn :/Went for a chilly, rainy 5-mile run and it was tough but felt so good when I was done!
My favorite cold brew coffee…SO YUM.Cheered on our Tiger basketball teams from afar as they played in the state finals, sadly they both lost but played amazing seasons!
I FINALLY went on a “Valentine’s” date with my dad and I’m pretty sure the food was the highlight for me.
Brioche French Toast from the Dilly Diner in Tulsa, OK. Never disappoints.
Can you say stacked?! These were pretty dang good.

Week 11- SPRING BREAK!!!

When you’re waiting on your Dad and Brother to get a haircut you take pictures…(maybe you don’t)
Avocado Toast with Spinach, and a Fried Egg. No going wrong with this combo.
When you’re too tired to make it to your bed…
Sugar cookie cutting!

My aunt always makes the GREATEST cards! She could sell them and start her own company. I just adore all of the cards she sends me! Definitely keepsakes.

We went hiking in Arkansas on Thursday of Spring Break and this water was such a pretty color!I heart candid shots. Funny story- at the end of this 6 (supposed to be 5) mile hike, the only way to get across was to go through this shallow but deep body of water. Now keep in mind it was probably about 55 degrees max and that water was as cold as heck. So we all took off our shoes and socks and walked across (I lost feeling in my feet but as sure as heck was not turning around to get back). Made for a memorable day for sure. The green amongst the brown caught my eye.
We traveled to Fayetteville for dinner and ate at another one of my favorite places: Thep Thai. I order Red Curry and it was delicious!Always gotta have that ice cream.
BIRTHDAY!!! Breakfast in bed with confetti buttermilk pancakes.
18! Legally adult, watch out world! ūüėČCoffee on my birthday because why not?
In order to eat all the good food I wanted biking was very necessary. We biked 11 miles and let me tell you, I was definitely feeling it the next day.

Macarons: I had a Pistachio and Pink Champagne. They were both divine!

A really good grilled cheese.

My birthday cake this year was Coconut Lime, it was worth every calorie!Running off all that birthday cake!

‚̧ these people. My Dad’s birthday cake: Carmelized Banana with White Chocolate Frosting and Salted Caramel.

That’s all for now folks! Hopefully I will see you back here next week! Much love, Brianna.

My Everyday Life: Week 8

Hello, friends!! It’s been another one of those weeks that has gone by SO slowly. Grateful for that, and the time I can appreciate to myself. So without further ado, here is my week in pictures!Wore my easter dress from my freshmen year this past Sunday, and I fell in love with it all over again!
The weather in Oklahoma has been pretty mild for February¬†weather if you ask me! If you don’t believe me just look at this picture! There is NO WAY this beauties would have bloomed like this last year.
I recently got the real and true Spiralizer¬†by Inspiralized, and I am in LOVE with it. So a couple of years ago I went to Williams Sonoma and got a “spiralizer” but it wasn’t the true one and it worked TERRIBLY. So please, please, please go buy the right one when you do get one!! (Worth the extra $20) Link here.¬†
Gotta love that sunset.
Tis’ the season for shamrock cookies! Super pumped to decorate these sugar cookies at work every week until St. Patricks Day.I made myself THE BEST breakfast on Thursday. Two slices of English muffin bread with a fried egg and roasted strawberries. SO SO good. Go make this today. Right now. I don’t care what time of day it is.¬†and you can’t forget the coffee!!! The mug is from Anthropologie¬†and it’s my new favorite mug out of my gazillion mugs.

Red X to raise awareness for present day slavery. Did you know that there are still over 27 million women, men, and children enslaved all over the world? Check out the End It Movement to find out how you can do more.
Went on an evening walk before dinner with my favorite and only dog and the sky was just breathtaking.
She’s cute and smelly.¬†Coffee is essential. This mug is also from Anthropologie!¬†
Walking dogs at the Humane Society is such a rewarding and fun experience. Those dogs will just love up all over you and they love the love you give them.
A concert full of various Christian artists full of worship and praise to Jesus!
Rend Collective will forever be my favorite band to see live. I love all the different instruments they use and how they praise God!

That’s it for this week folks! See you here next week! Much love, Brianna.

My Everyday Life: Week 5

I don’t know about you but this past week has felt like the longest week of my life! Some weeks are just like that and sometimes it can be good or bad depending on the week you’re having. While it has felt like the longest week each day went by in a blur… so thankful that I captured my week in pictures!I started my week off in Stillwater where I spent the weekend with my BFF and went to an OSU basketball game. Sunday morning we went to church after recovering from a 3 a.m. bedtime. Isn’t she a beauty?Walking to class on Monday morning. When I woke up the weather app said it would be 66 degrees. That morning it was 40 degrees. I regretted my decision to wear sandals.
Tuesday’s weather was gorgeous as well and Lady enjoyed the little walk I took her on…she mostly got pulled the whole way, so maybe she didn’t enjoy it.
Every Tuesday I go to the grocery store, my least favorite part is putting up the groceries…I had some ripe bananas from last week so I made Sally’s Bake Blog Sunrise Breakfast Cookies! They’re really good heated with peanut butter. Everything is always better with peanut butter. I came home on Wednesday from class for lunch and the house just smelled weird. Bath and Body candles for the win.
Always in need of a good latte.
I hardly ever eat toast and when I went to the store this week I got Cinnamon Raisin Bread, SO GOOD with cinnamon sugar.
Leftover Cheesy Shrimp and Grits with Collard Greens; one of my favorites. I got a new laptop for college this week and I packed it with stickers because why not?
TGIT is back! Scandal AND How to Get Away with Murder + popcorn. Definitely recommend watching both shows! All she does is sleep, but it’s pretty cute.
Diet Strawberry Limeade from Sonic is my favorite drink to exist. My family and I went to go see a movie on Friday night and we tried this Sushi place in Broken Arrow, it was wonderful!
If you want to see a movie treat yourself to The Warren.
If you haven’t seen Hidden Figures…GO SEE IT!!! It’s so good and moving AND based off of a true story. You’ll want to clap when the movie is over, promise.
One of my New Year’s Goals was to stop biting my nails and hang nails. I FINALLY stopped! To treat myself I got my nails done and their my favorite.
Photographing for advertising where I work!I got to take home some Peanut Butter Bars with Chocolate Ganache from work on Saturday: YUM.
Twice in one week. No shame. Brother winning the tip at his basketball game on Saturday.

That’s it for this week folks! See you here next week! Much love, Brianna.

My Everyday Life: Week 4

This past week has felt like the longest but shortest week of my life if that makes any sense at all. It’s been busy, eventful, but fun. Come with me as I show you this past week in pictures!

Another week means another picture of my bible and I! I love doing this picture every week to document my outfits and where I was on each Sunday through out the year.

When I walked out of church the sky was beautiful so a picture HAD to be taken.

This week was FULL of basketball, but I have no complaints.

I’ve been on a smoothie bowl kick lately. This one was: bananas, mixed berries, and almond milk. Super easy, super healthy, and super good.

My favorite go to order at Sonic: Diet Strawberry Limeade. The strawberry pieces just top it off! Like the cherry on top but with strawberries.

Morning light.

Sally’s Baking Addiction Funfetti Cookies! I made a batch on Sunday and scooped them and then froze them! It’s easy to just pop a couple in the oven at a time and enjoy a FRESH baked cookie.

Friday morning it was SUPER cold! I went outside to start my car early and the frost was beautiful.

Workout before class at “The Fit”.

Matcha Almond Milk Latte, SO GOOD. Wish I could replicate at home but would probably fail miserbly at it.

So I always enter this giveaways I see on Instagram because they literally take like 2 seconds to enter. This week I won one and I got this awesome Kate Spade Tumbler. Very picture worthy.

Short Stack and Shortcake’s in Stillwater, OK.

Weird thing they do at OSU Basketball games…they throw torn up newspaper when players make baskets! I apologize to the clean up crew.

Love my BFF!

Processed with VSCO with g3 preset

Ended the weekend on a high note with basketball at OSU (they won!), visiting my BFF, and eating TONS of food.

So that’s my week in pictures! I hope you all had a wonderful week! See you here next week! Much love, Brianna.

My Everyday Life: Week 3

Hey there folks! College has picked up and my life is full of homework. Like LOADS of homework that weighs TONS. I’ve decided to put out a blog post every week to keep you updated on what goes on in my daily life from week to week. This post was inspired by Shutterbean’s Everyday Life posts!

I’ve decided to start taking a picture every Sunday at church (particularly in the car) with my bible and hand to document¬†my different outfits and such throughout the year. I think it will be cool to look back at 51 pictures taken each week (I skipped the first week in January) and depending on where I’m at the location could be different.

Little treat my friend brought me back from Disney World…to be honest it wasn’t that good sadly.

Lots of coffee this week…

Monday was MLK Day so that meant no school and it was glorious! The weather was absolutely¬†gorgeous so I decided to sit outside before work and read a little in my book (The Guardian by Nicholas Sparks) that I started two weeks ago….and am only in Chapter Three. I blame The Office and College.

Blue skies.

If you’ve been at Instagram or Social Media at all you must have heard of the movie La La Land…I’ve been wanting to see it SO bad so Monday I invited a friend and we treated ourselves to see it at The Warren (with recliners and seat warmers!!)

The movie was fantastic! At first, I didn’t get into it but the story was so good and inspiring and the soundtrack was simply amazing. I’ve had it repeat throughout the week.

Tuesday of this week was 8th-grade night at the school I attended K-8th grade, and I was reminded of how quick life passes us by. I remember just 4 short years ago when I was in 8th grade and all I wanted was to grow up. Now that I’m a senior in High School and going to College…all I want to do is to NOT grow up. So everyone, appreciate every moment of life no matter what season you’re in. Cherish it even if you don’t like the circumstances your in. Because soon you’ll realize that the best times of your life have happened and you just wished them away. Don’t take a moment for granted.

My super athletic brother.

Thursday was National Popcorn Day so I obviously had to celebrate with my favorite snack.

Lady is me all the time.

I got my bangs trimmed on Thursday and my hairdresser did something fun with my hair…now if I could only replicate it myself.

Beautiful rose that my parents received for 8th grade night.

I don’t look amused with my hair but I promise I liked it.

Early workout on Friday before class and coffee after school to do homework.

…and just like that the 45th president!

I LOVED Melania’s outfit for Trump’s Inauguration¬†Day. (Picture from the internet)

Saturday I worked and coffee was the only thing that helped me through the day.

Baking seriously helps cure my stress and this week I had some ripe bananas so I made this SERIOUSLY GOOD Banana Bread with Espresso Glaze from How Sweet Eats. SO GOOD.

So that’s it for this week,¬†I’ll see you here next week same place! Much love, Brianna.

Goals for 2017

New Year means New Goals! How was your 2016 and what goals are you setting for 2017?

I completed almost all of my goals from this past year and have set the bar pretty high for this year! I’m ready to get things done and be productive! Here are my goals listed below:

  • Run a half marathon ( I ran a 15k last October and I know I can run 13 miles!!)
  • Lose 10lbs (I lost 15 last year and am determined to be at my goal weight! Let’s do this!!)
  • Have a budget and stick to it. (My dad suggested the app Every Dollar which you can also access online. You predict what your monthly income will be then you budget to your lifestyle! I am ready to save money this year and buy less!)
  • Make Macaroons. (I’ve had Macaroons before and they are DELICIOUS! This year I want to make some and fingers crossed that they turn out good)
  • Run a full marathon
  • Decide where I’m going to college (I’ve really been struggling with this and giving it up to God and praying that I’ll make the right decision)
  • See Star War #8 (The Force Awakens was AMAZING and Rogue One was AMAZING. So no doubt that this one will be AMAZING too)
  • Read 15 books (I read 12 this past year…I kinda of dropped the ball and got lazy. I really do love to read I just need to make time to do it! I’ll make a list later of the 15 books I will be reading!)
  • Stop biting my nails…(this is going to be SUPER hard but if I can do it my hands will finally look good)
  • Get rid of the things I don’t need. (I set focus words for this year: Less is More. I really struggle with this so this year will be the year where I try to buy less and get rid of the things I don’t need!)
  • Take a social media break (Oh wow….I don’t realize it much but I am SUPER connected to social media. I’m going to try to take some periodic breaks this year.)
  • Blog more. (Last year I really slacked off and I’ve really missed it even though not a lot of people read my blog. I’ve got many posts lined up, so get excited!!)
  • Get organized for college. (This is a MUST)
  • Go on a senior trip…(and have lots of fun!)

I hope your 2017 is off to a great start! Much love, Brianna
